Istanbul authorities announced the demolition of illegal structures near the Bosphorus, including elite hotels
"The list includes prestigious establishments and luxury hotels popular among high society representatives. The Monuments Protection Council together with the Bosphorus Zoning Authority issued a verdict on the dismantling of buildings along the strait where illegal extensions were identified," reports the Turkish newspaper Turkiye.
According to the Haberturk publication, unauthorized floor coverings and terraces have been discovered in numerous locations, especially along the Bebek Arnavutköy coast.
Among the establishments where violations were recorded are the popular "Beylan" bakery, as well as the luxury "Bebek" and "Mandarin" hotels.
