A new round of negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine has started in Istanbul.

According to TASS, the Turkish side is also participating in the diplomatic dialogue. The Turkish delegation is represented by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, intelligence service head Ibrahim Kalin, and Chief of the General Staff Metin Gurak.

It is worth noting that on May 16, the first direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in a three-year period took place in Istanbul. Following that meeting, the parties agreed to prepare draft memoranda on conflict resolution and discussed a large-scale prisoner exchange using the "1000 for 1000" formula.
