According to him, Putin and Trump during the upcoming summit in Alaska will focus on discussing possible ways to achieve a long-term settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.

US President Donald Trump said he expects to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on August 15 in Alaska.

The American leader announced this on his social network Truth Social.

"The long-awaited meeting between me, the President of the United States of America, and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin will take place next Friday, August 15, in the great state of Alaska," Trump wrote, adding that additional details will be revealed later.
