Famous Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay announces prostate cancer diagnosis
Popular Scottish stand-up comedian and radio host Fred MacAulay candidly told The Courier about his recently discovered prostate cancer. The 68-year-old artist, considering his family history of the disease, regularly underwent examinations.
"I'm waiting for the doctors to tell me what the next step will be," MacAulay shared. Notably, before the diagnosis, the humorist had not noticed any alarming symptoms, and the disease was detected at an early stage thanks to preventive tests.
The comedian decided to fully trust the specialists and refrain from searching for information on the internet independently. MacAulay also expressed hope that his openness would help other men realize the importance of timely diagnosis. "It could save their lives," the artist emphasized, turning his personal experience into an opportunity to raise awareness about the disease.
