Shocking case: parents abandoned their 10-year-old son at the airport for the sake of vacation

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the publication Daily Mail, an outrageous case of irresponsible parental behavior was recorded at the El Prat International Airport in Barcelona, Spain. A family of tourists arrived for flight check-in, but airport staff discovered that their 10-year-old son's documents were expired. The boy was denied boarding the plane.

Incredibly, this circumstance did not force the parents to change their plans. They coldly left the child alone in the airport building, telling him to wait for other relatives, while they calmly departed for their planned trip.

Fortunately, the abandoned boy was noticed by vigilant airport staff, who immediately contacted the police. "He told them that his parents had flown back to their homeland," an air traffic controller shared on his social media page.

Law enforcement officers quickly established the whereabouts of the irresponsible parents and brought them to the police station where their underage son was located. Information about whether the hapless travelers were detained has not yet been reported.
