Trump may meet with Putin and Xi Jinping at a parade in Beijing in September
As TASS reports, the British newspaper The Times reported on a possible invitation of US President Donald Trump to Beijing in early September for a meeting with the leaders of China and Russia.
According to the publication, recent trade agreements between Washington and Beijing have caused the American president to soften his position towards China. This has generated speculation that Trump may receive an invitation to attend a military parade in the Chinese capital, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II.
Earlier, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed that Vladimir Putin will visit China in late August - early September and take part in the anniversary events dedicated to the end of World War II.
A large-scale military parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II and the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is planned in Beijing on September 3. During the ceremonial event, China will demonstrate modern military equipment of its own production, which is in service with the country.
