Hollywood stars wife faces US entry ban due to Trump

Amal Clooney, a renowned lawyer and wife of Hollywood actor George Clooney, may face a ban on entry to the United States of America due to a new decree by President Donald Trump.

This is reported by People magazine.

In February of this year, the American president signed a controversial decree that opens the possibility of imposing sanctions against individuals participating in investigations directed against US allies. According to the authoritative publication Financial Times, citing the UK Foreign Office, several lawyers, including Amal Clooney, have fallen into the risk zone. The reason was her participation in preparing arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, issued by the International Criminal Court.

Amal, born in Lebanon, moved to the United Kingdom at the age of two, where she later brilliantly graduated from the prestigious Oxford University. Despite not having American citizenship, in 2002 she successfully joined the New York Bar Association, gaining the right to practice law in the USA. In September 2014, she married George Clooney, and now the couple is raising seven-year-old twins - Alexander and Ella.
