David Beckham will become a knight

Legendary former England footballer David Beckham will soon join the ranks of British nobility. According to The Sun, the celebrated athlete will be awarded a knighthood.

Beckham will be presented with the title of Knight Bachelor. After the official award, David will have the right to be called "Sir," and his wife Victoria will receive the title of "Lady."

The formal announcement of the honorary title will take place at the end of June 2025.

Beckham's stellar path in football is inseparably linked with Manchester United, where he spent most of his brilliant career. With the Red Devils, he won the English Premier League (EPL) six times and lifted the FA Cup twice. The triumphant year for both the club and the player was 1999, when Manchester United claimed the prestigious Champions League trophy.

In 2003, the midfielder transferred to Real Madrid, with which he also managed to achieve a championship title. After four years in Spain, Beckham set off to conquer the American MLS.

David and Victoria Beckham have been married since 1999. During this time, the celebrity couple has raised three sons and a daughter.
