Tagansky District Court issued a decision to arrest the ex-director of the "Satire" Theater Mamedali Agaev
As reported by RBC, the court has chosen a preventive measure for the former head of one of Moscow's most famous theaters.
The investigation has charged Agaev with fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). If found guilty, he faces a serious punishment — up to 10 years of imprisonment. As part of the investigation, the bank accounts of the accused and his close relatives have already been frozen.
Recall that on Thursday, August 28, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, informed the public about the detention of the former director of one of the capital's theaters. The operation was carried out jointly with employees of the regional FSB. Later it became known that this was Mamedali Agaev, who headed the Theater of Satire for almost three decades — from 1992 to 2021.
