Azerbaijani citizen wanted by Interpol arrested in Georgia
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to 24News.ge, officers of the Marneuli District Department of the Kvemo Kartli Police Administration detained an Azerbaijani citizen R.A., born in 1986, who was wanted under an Interpol red notice.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the detainee had been on an international wanted list since 2013. Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies accuse him of participating in an organized criminal group and causing bodily harm.
Currently, all necessary pre-extradition procedures provided for by law are being carried out in relation to the detainee.
