As part of the Our Yard project, another improved courtyard has been handed over for residents use

On July 17, with the participation of the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva, a renovated courtyard was ceremoniously handed over to residents of the Surakhani district. The improved territory covers multi-story buildings in the "AB" Yeni Guneshli residential area, where more than 3,500 people live.

As reported by AZERTAG, the reconstructed courtyard has become a true center of comfort and active recreation. Special attention was paid to accessibility for people with disabilities. Bright playgrounds have been created for young residents, taking into account the interests of children of all ages. Young people will appreciate the football field with modern artificial turf, a chess area, and various sports facilities. Cozy gazebos and numerous benches invite you to rest in the shade, while care for nature is demonstrated through the installation of birdhouses and special houses for cats. The territory is equipped with new lighting poles and a video surveillance system, building facades and blocks have been completely renovated, and asphalt covering, roofing, and power lines have been replaced.

Special attention was paid to landscaping the territory. In addition to restoring existing plantings, new trees, seasonal flowers, and decorative shrubs were planted, and picturesque green areas were created. An innovative solution was the "green barriers" made of stone ivy and other climbing plants, which will help improve air quality around the residential complex.

The "Our Yard" project has been successfully implemented since 2017 thanks to the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, who heads the IDEA Public Union. The main goals of the project are ecological improvement and beautification of courtyard areas in the capital, restoration of green spaces, creation of spaces for full-fledged recreation, and provision of safe, comfortable conditions for city residents. To date, 159 residential courtyards have already been transformed within the framework of the project, delighting their residents with a new appearance and functionality.

The IDEA Public Union invites Baku residents to actively participate in the program and submit their proposals for courtyard improvement. Applications are accepted on the hotline "1113" or by email ([email protected]).
