Star of "Bandit Petersburg" Dmitry Grankin has passed away

Russian actor Dmitry Grankin, known to viewers from cult TV series "Bandit Petersburg" and "Streets of Broken Lights," died on August 12 at 22:30 in the Elizabethan Hospital in St. Petersburg. The artist was only 48 years old. As it became known, the cause of death was heart failure against the background of kidney disease, as well as the consequences of a stroke suffered six months ago.

"Dima maintained a positive and active lifestyle until his last day—he recently bought a SUP board to conquer the Baltic Sea," says the message on the actor's page.

The funeral service and burial of Dmitry Grankin took place on August 17 at 12:00 at the Northern Cemetery.
