Venediktov showed Berezovsky's abandoned grave: a rare photo of the oligarch's final resting place from the 90s
Journalist Alexei Venediktov published a rare photo of the London burial site of one of the most influential Russian businessmen of the 1990s. The photograph shows that the grave of Boris Berezovsky, who once controlled an empire that included Channel One, "Sibneft" and "Aeroflot," is overgrown with grass, while the tombstone maintains an austere form.
Berezovsky passed away on March 23, 2013, under circumstances that still raise questions. The oligarch spent his final years in forced emigration, escaping persecution from Russian law enforcement agencies.
In his time, Boris Berezovsky was a key figure in Russian economic and political life of the 1990s. He controlled major media holdings, oil assets, and airlines. After a sharp conflict with the authorities, he was forced to leave Russia. In 2007, a Russian court found him guilty of fraud in absentia.
Meanwhile, in 2024, it became known that fans of Alexander Gradsky are dissatisfied with the condition of the musician's grave. Despite the fact that three years have passed since the composer's death, a monument has still not been installed at the burial site. Fans are urging the legendary artist's relatives to tidy up their idol's final resting place and at least install a fence.
