China launches unique clinic for those suffering from reluctance to go to work, reports South China Morning Post.
An innovative medical facility called "I Don't Like Going to Work" has opened its doors in northern China, offering help to adults suffering from professional burnout, anxiety disorders, and work-related depression. The new initiative instantly attracted public attention and became a natural extension of the already operating "I Don't Like Going to School" program, which successfully helps children and adolescents overcome emotional resistance to the educational process.
Notably, the idea of creating such a clinic emerged thanks to parents who, while seeking help for their children with school adaptation problems, inquired about the possibility of receiving similar support for adults experiencing difficulties with work motivation.
The diagnostic process at the new clinic includes a comprehensive interview for a thorough assessment of the patient's emotional state, as well as a complete physical examination to rule out organic causes of symptoms, such as hyperthyroidism. Based on the data obtained, specialists develop a personalized treatment plan, which may combine psychological counseling, various types of therapy, and, if necessary, medication support.
Despite active discussion on social media and significant public interest in the new medical project, the number of patients seeking help at the clinic remains low so far.
