Nutritionist revealed the secrets of perfect morning tea drinking

Many of us are accustomed to starting the day with a fragrant cup of tea, but is there any benefit to this? Nutritionist and dietitian Nadezhda Litvinova-Grazion told "Gazeta.Ru" about the right time for morning tea drinking and important nuances.

"The optimal time for morning tea is 15-20 minutes after waking up. During this time, the digestive processes begin to activate. It's better to first drink a glass of warm or room temperature water to compensate for dehydration during the night," shared the specialist.

She noted that different types of tea affect the body differently. Green tea provides vigor thanks to caffeine, but has a milder effect than coffee. Black tea works in a similar way, but gives more energy compared to green tea. The expert called herbal teas the most beneficial for the digestive system and strengthening immunity.

"It's important to note that it is strongly not recommended to add sugar or milk to tea, as such a product can cause heaviness or nausea," the doctor warned.

According to the doctor, tea that is too strong can cause heartburn due to irritation of the stomach lining, constipation, and nausea. Those who suffer from gastritis and increased acidity should be especially careful.
