Russian medic reveals a non-obvious symptom of arthritis

Seasonal joint pain may signal the onset of arthritis - expert warns

Periodically occurring mild pain in the knees, elbows, or fingers during cold seasons may be an early precursor to arthritis. Russian arthrologist Natalya Stepanova issued this important warning in a conversation with the publication "Lenta.ru," reports TUT.AZ.

The specialist notes that in the early stages, joint inflammation often manifests subtly – patients may experience mild pain in the mornings, some stiffness after prolonged sitting, or discomfort during meteorological changes.

"Autumn pressure fluctuations and increased humidity can intensify pain sensations even in mild forms of arthritis, as the joint capsule becomes more sensitive to changes in atmospheric pressure," the doctor explained.

Stepanova strongly recommends not ignoring alarming symptoms and consulting a rheumatologist if joint pain becomes regular, accompanied by swelling, stiffness, or limited movement. The expert emphasizes that early diagnosis and timely treatment help maintain joint mobility and significantly reduce the risk of inflammatory process progression, which will make the cold season much more comfortable.
