Hidden threat of a fashionable beauty procedure revealed

Blogger Coco Hayashi warned about the dangers of a popular cosmetic procedure for the skin. According to her, microneedling therapy at home can lead to serious consequences, including skin damage and scarring. The corresponding material was published in the New York Post.

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the New York Post (NYP), the influencer purchased a special device for microneedling at home and decided to warn her followers. She emphasized that slow and incorrect pressure on the skin during the procedure can significantly increase the risk of scarring.

Dermatologist Ksenia Kobets supported the blogger's concerns, noting that such devices can become a source of infections or irreversible skin damage. The expert pointed out the lack of uniform standards regulating home microneedling devices, as well as insufficient information for users about proper skin care after the procedure.

Nurse Limor Weinberg also issued a warning, emphasizing the danger of improper device usage technique. According to her, excessive pressure or aggressive movements can lead to a whole range of problems: from scratches and enlarged pores to chronic redness and scar formation.
