Smartphones cause premature aging in young people, doctors warn
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the New York Post (NYP), specialists have discovered a disturbing correlation between mobile device use and accelerated skin aging.
Dermatologist Helen He notes that the systematic tilting of the head when using smartphones, computers, and other gadgets significantly accelerates the formation of wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity in the neck area. The expert emphasizes with concern that this problem is particularly prominent among young generation representatives today.
"We are observing more pronounced wrinkles on the front surface of the neck in young and middle-aged patients. This is the result of the combined effect of solar radiation and the constant need to bend down to interact with electronic devices," dermatologist Jacob Beer confirms his colleague's observations.
To prevent early signs of aging, experts recommend controlling posture while working with gadgets. "It's important to include in daily care a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Local remedies with retinoids, peptides, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants, particularly vitamins C and E, will also bring significant benefits," the specialists concluded.
