Zelensky called for a personal meeting with Putin to achieve peace in Ukraine

"We need a meeting of leaders if we want to achieve peace," emphasized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as reported by "Insider UA".

Vladimir Putin, during his interaction with representatives of global media at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, stated that the Russian side is ready to resume the negotiation process with Ukraine based on the conditions that were agreed upon in Istanbul in 2022. The Russian leader urged Kyiv not to delay dialogue, warning that further procrastination could significantly complicate Ukraine's position. According to Putin, negotiations could begin after June 22.

The President of Russia recalled the preliminary agreements reached in Istanbul in June 2022, which included the exchange of prisoners of war. He specifically noted Moscow's readiness to continue the negotiation process on the same principles, suggesting that the parties "sit down and negotiate".
