Wooden Headphones from Berkeley: American startup PIN raised full funding on Kickstarter in a record two hours. Nearly 500 investors supported the project just a week after the campaign launch, reports New Atlas.

The project instantly won users' hearts thanks to a revolutionary combination of eco-friendly design and cutting-edge technology. PIN wireless headphones are handcrafted from natural wood - exquisite walnut, elegant cherry, and durable bamboo. Natural materials make each pair truly unique. To protect against moisture and increase durability, the housing is treated with a special moisture-resistant sealant.

The technical specifications of the device are no less impressive than the design: AAC codec support, an advanced active noise cancellation system based on Dual-ENC technology, and intuitive touch controls. The headphones work up to 8 hours without recharging, and with the charging case, the battery life increases to 32 hours. The fast charging function provides up to 3 hours of playback after just 15 minutes of connection.

The developers take special pride in the device's intelligent capabilities: instant translation into more than 150 languages in real-time, a built-in virtual assistant, and special tools to improve sleep quality. The proprietary mobile application offers equalizer settings and a headphone tracking function.

The cost of the headphones starts at $134, including an early pre-order discount. The premium version for $399 offers the possibility of personal engraving. PIN also announced an environmental initiative: for every 10 devices sold, one tree will be planted. At the time of publication, 78 trees have already been planted thanks to the project. The first headphone deliveries are scheduled for October 2025.
