In Japan, a Brazilian woman with abdominal pain was found to have 74 packets of cocaine inside her body

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to foreign media, Japanese border guards detained a foreign woman at Kansai Airport in Osaka who attempted to illegally import cocaine into the country.

The offender turned out to be 35-year-old Brazilian citizen Jessica Ramos de Souza.

During the customs control, the woman's unusual behavior and nervousness attracted the attention of service employees. During an additional inspection, customs officers found 13 packets of the prohibited substance in a sock hidden in the detainee's underwear.

Shortly after her detention, Souza began experiencing severe pain in her stomach area. A medical examination using X-rays revealed a shocking discovery - another 74 packets of cocaine located inside the Brazilian woman's stomach.

The total weight of the seized narcotics was 675.5 grams. Jessica was arrested for violating Japan's Drug Control Act. Despite admitting guilt, the detainee claims she did not plan to sell the cocaine.
