Janis Timma's family will not be able to recover funds invested in real estate with Sedokova
The father of Latvian basketball player Janis Timma revealed unexpected details about his son's financial relationship with singer Anna Sedokova. According to Raitis Timma, during their marriage, the couple purchased five apartments, but all the real estate was registered exclusively in the artist's name. Lawyers claim that the athlete's heirs have found themselves in a legal dead end.
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to woman.ru, lawyer Elena Senina provided a legal assessment of the situation.
Raitis Timma spoke about his son's significant financial investments in family life with the singer. In 2021, the basketball player sold his cars and transferred the proceeds to Sedokova's account. A year later, he sold an apartment in Riga, also directing the money to the singer. According to the athlete's father, all these transactions are documented.
However, lawyer Senina emphasizes: from a legal standpoint, it is practically impossible to prove Anna's financial obligations to the basketball player's family. The situation could have been different if the payment purpose "loan" had been indicated during the transfers.
"Unfortunately, Janis's heirs - his parents and son - will not be able to count on the return of funds transferred to Sedokova. They cohabitated, then were married, and Janis voluntarily transferred funds without implying loan obligations," Senina explained.
Producer Sergey Dvortsov spoke in defense of the singer, reminding that in the last six months of the relationship, it was Sedokova who financially supported Janis. According to him, the artist also made a significant contribution to the family budget, and the couple paid for vacations alternately.
"Yes, he gave her money, but that's natural, she was his wife! And not only did he give her money, she also invested, as in any family, whoever can pay does so," the producer stated.
