President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian arrived on an official visit to Armenia
As reported by TUT.AZ, Armenian media announce the beginning of a two-day official visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Armenia.
This is Pezeshkian's first visit to Armenia after taking office as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The high-ranking guest was met by Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan at Zvartnots International Airport.
Before departure, the Iranian leader stated that the central topic of negotiations in Yerevan will be the discussion of the "North-South" transport corridor. Pezeshkian also noted the promising potential of the "East-West" route as an important platform for developing trade relations.
The President of Iran emphasized that during the visit, issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, investment, healthcare, and tourism will be considered.
According to available information, an Armenian-Iranian business forum with the president's participation is scheduled for August 19. After completing his visit to Armenia, Masoud Pezeshkian will head to Belarus.
