The Ambassador of the Netherlands in Tehran, Emil Frederik Dubon, was urgently summoned today to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Iran amid growing diplomatic tension.

According to available information, the Iranian foreign policy department categorically rejected accusations from the General Intelligence and Security Service of the Netherlands regarding Tehran's involvement in two assassination attempts on European territory, calling them completely groundless, and expressed a strong protest to the Dutch diplomat.
It should be noted that the day before, a mirror situation occurred in the Netherlands, where the Iranian ambassador was summoned in connection with suspicions that Tehran was preparing two assassination attempts on European territory. The Dutch intelligence service reported the detention of two suspects who, according to their data, were planning the murders of an Iranian citizen and a Spanish citizen in Europe during the period 2023-2024.
