NATO increases military aid to Ukraine

In 2024, Ukraine received military aid worth $50 billion from NATO countries, and in 2025, the volume of weapons supplies is planned to increase.

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Corriere della Sera, this was stated by the chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone.

"In 2024, the volume of aid provided reached an impressive amount of $50 billion. As of January 1, 2025, $33 billion has already been transferred, but by the end of the year, we plan to reach last year's level. The forecasts are very optimistic," emphasized Dragone.

He emphasized that NATO countries will continue military support for Ukraine and intend to increase its volume. "The Ukrainian army is an example for Europe. NATO always confirms that our full support for Ukraine remains unchanged until a just and long-term peace is achieved," said the admiral.

In addition, Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Shmyhal announced the launch of a new mechanism of military assistance to Ukraine by the US and NATO – the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative. This program is being implemented as part of agreements between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
