Russia is increasing forces at the 102nd military base in Armenia
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the newspaper "Hraparak", in recent weeks, large shipments of military equipment and ammunition have been actively arriving at the Russian military base in the city of Gyumri.
According to the publication's sources, several cargo planes land at the base daily, delivering military equipment in significant volumes.
The official goals of this large-scale military presence reinforcement are not disclosed, however, various versions of what is happening are circulating in the media space. According to one assumption, Moscow is strengthening its positions in anticipation of possible geopolitical changes in the region, despite restrained rhetoric regarding the potential withdrawal of troops from the territory of Armenia.
According to sources, the leadership of Armenia is fully informed about what is happening at the base, but refrains from any public comments on this issue.
