Lavrov: Russia advocates for the start of direct negotiations with Ukraine

Russia calls for direct dialogue with Ukraine without putting forward preliminary demands

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to TASS, the head of the Russian foreign ministry Sergey Lavrov made an important statement regarding Russian-Ukrainian relations.

"Our proposal, which was voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is to start direct negotiations without preconditions. A ceasefire in this situation is considered as a precondition," emphasized the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
