Turkish authorities conducted a large-scale anti-terrorist operation: 361 suspects with links to FETÖ detained
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya revealed details of a large-scale special operation against alleged members of the terrorist organization "Parallel State" (FETÖ). Over the past two weeks, law enforcement agencies conducted a series of raids in 41 provinces of the country, including the largest cities - Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir.
"A total of 361 terrorism suspects have been detained. The detainees have been charged with involvement in the activities of a banned organization, financing and propagating ideas of terrorist structures, as well as using the prohibited encrypted messaging program ByLock," the minister said in his statement on social media. Yerlikaya also expressed gratitude to all law enforcement personnel who participated in the operations.
