Google revolutionizes search: AI-based chatbot analog integrated into the system

According to the reputable publication Financial Times, American technology giant Google has presented an innovative solution for its search engine.

At the annual developers conference, the company demonstrated technology that will allow users to interact with the search engine in a live "question-answer" dialogue format, similar to the popular ChatGPT service.

The head of parent company Alphabet, Sundar Pichai, stated that integrating artificial intelligence into the search system will make it possible to "completely rethink search."

The article notes that Google took its first steps in this direction back in 2024 with the launch of AI Overviews — a feature that aggregates information from various sources to answer user queries. Despite its popularity among the audience, this innovation negatively affected advertising metrics.

Interestingly, during the presentation of the new technology, the question of integrating advertising into the search engine with artificial intelligence was not addressed.
