The head of parent company Alphabet, Sundar Pichai, stated that integrating artificial intelligence into the search system will make it possible to "completely rethink search."

The article notes that Google took its first steps in this direction back in 2024 with the launch of AI Overviews — a feature that aggregates information from various sources to answer user queries. Despite its popularity among the audience, this innovation negatively affected advertising metrics.
