Citizen of Uzbekistan died of fear during earthquake in Istanbul

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Turkey reported the tragic death of their compatriot during the earthquake in Istanbul.

As reported by TUT.AZ, this information appeared on the official Telegram channel of the diplomatic mission.

According to the consulate, the man, who suffered from heart failure, died from severe fright during the tremors.

"According to preliminary data, this tragic incident occurred as a result of the citizen, who was on the upper floor during the earthquake in Istanbul, falling into a state of severe fear," the consulate general's statement says.

Recall that a powerful earthquake in Istanbul occurred on April 23. The magnitude of the disaster reached 6.2. As a result of the natural cataclysm, about 240 people received various injuries while trying to escape and jumping out of building windows.
