Tragedy in Indian reserve: eight-year-old boy killed in bear attack

A sad incident occurred in the Anamalai Reserve, where a wild animal attacked a child. According to the New Indian Express, an eight-year-old boy became the victim of a bear attack while carrying out a simple errand for his parents.

In the evening, relatives sent the child to get milk from the nearest grocery store, located just 200 meters away. When the boy did not return after 45 minutes, worried family members began searching. Unfortunately, the child could not be saved when found. Initially, there was a suspicion of a leopard attack, however, experts, after examining the nature of the injuries on the victim's body, determined that the marks were left by a sloth bear.

An alarming signal for local authorities was the fact that this is already the second such case in the last two months. Due to the increased attacks by wild animals, the administration organized a meeting with local residents to discuss preventive measures that will help avoid tragedies in the future.
