Australian doctor revealed the main poison in fast food that destroys health
Fast food poses a serious health risk due to the content of ultra-processed ingredients, refined carbohydrates, excess salt, trans fats, overcooked proteins, and chemical additives. However, the greatest threat is posed by a specific component, warns Australian physician Zack Turner in his column on News.com portal.
"Repeatedly heating oil can lead to the formation of oxidized lipid compounds that can irritate tissues. This causes oxidative stress, when your body produces unstable molecules that damage cells and trigger inflammation," Turner emphasizes.
The doctor notes that it is oxidative stress that causes bloating and contributes to lethargy and apathy.
He recommends giving preference to whole foods, trying to avoid processed ones, and including heat-stable oils in your diet - extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil.
"Beware of other inflammatory triggers. Sugar spikes, processed meats, refined carbohydrates, poor sleep, and stress - all of this accumulates," Turner advises.
