Popular myth about sugar debunked

Nutritionist debunked a popular myth: complete sugar elimination for weight loss turned out to be a misconception. Expert Alena Molchanova, in a conversation with renowned endocrinologist Maxim Kuznetsov, revealed the truth about the role of sweets in the diet of those trying to lose weight.

During the interview on YouTube channel, Molchanova categorically disagreed with the widespread belief about the necessity of completely excluding sugar when losing weight. The specialist provided reasoned explanations that absolute sugar avoidance is practically impossible, as natural sugars are contained in many products, including healthy fruits and vegetables, which should be present in a balanced diet.

The nutritionist also drew attention to existing scientific consumption standards developed by the World Health Organization. According to WHO data, a person can consume 25-30 grams of added sugar daily without harm to health. This approach allows not only weight control but also enjoyment from eating, maintaining psychological comfort during the diet.
