According to journalist Stefan Kümberger on social media, midfielder Joshua Kimmich has already made increased financial demands during contract extension negotiations. Defender Dayot Upamecano is also insisting on a significant signing bonus in negotiations with the club's management.
Bayern Munich's management considers such financial appetites of the players unjustified and problematic for the budget. However, players are now using the Davies deal as a benchmark for their own contract negotiations.
