US President Donald Trump expressed deep disappointment with Vladimir Putin's actions and did not rule out revising the 50-day deadline for reaching peace agreements on Ukraine
The American leader stated this during a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, which took place at the Turnberry golf club, reports TUT.AZ citing SkyNews.
"If it weren't for me, six major wars would have already broken out in the world," Trump emphasized during the conversation.
According to the US President, recent negotiations with Keir Starmer on conflict resolution were progressing successfully, and it seemed that a compromise was close. However, unexpected actions by the Russian leader destroyed these prospects.
"President Putin is launching missiles again - for example, at Kyiv, killing many people, including those in nursing homes," Trump stated.
The American president noted that he is considering reducing the 50-day period for peaceful settlement, as he already foresees the outcome.
Recall that earlier in July, Trump warned Russia about the possible introduction of harsh economic sanctions, including tariffs of up to 100%, if an agreement to cease military operations on Ukrainian territory is not reached within 50 days.
