As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to TASS, the head of the Catholic Church expressed deep concern about the growing tension in the Middle East, calling on the conflicting parties to show prudence and responsibility. According to the pontiff, the preservation of global stability is now under threat, and world leaders face a critically important task - to ensure peace without the use of nuclear weapons.

The head of the Vatican especially emphasized that achieving a peaceful settlement is possible only through respectful dialogue, which should be based on the principles of justice, brotherhood, and universal well-being. In his address, Pope Leo XIV also reminded that no state has the right to threaten the existence of another, and called on the international community to join efforts to strengthen peace, security, and human dignity throughout the world.
