In Dublin, a large-scale march against migration policy took place with portraits of Putin, Trump, and McGregor

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the Irish Examiner, thousands of Irish people took to the streets of the capital to protest against the influx of migrants.

The massive demonstration, timed to coincide with the 109th anniversary of the Easter Rising of 1916, passed through Dublin's landmark locations — from the Garden of Remembrance through the General Post Office building to the Customs House. Participants carried bright placards with slogans "Irish Lives Matter," "Coolock says 'no'" and "Ireland is full." The air was shaken by chants of "Get them out" and "Ireland for the Irish."

Among the participants of the march was the leader of the Irish Freedom Party, Hermann Kelly. Special attention was drawn to portraits of Russian President Vladimir Putin and former US President Donald Trump, as well as an image of famous fighter Conor McGregor, who recently announced his presidential ambitions.

At the same time, a counter-demonstration in support of migrants was taking place in the city, organized by a coalition of the "Labour Party," the "People Before Profit" movement, the feminist "ROSA" movement, and the "Lawyers Against Racism" group. Participants of this rally chanted "Refugees are welcome here."

Notably, the anti-migration march led to traffic disruptions on several city streets, while the pro-migration action took place behind barbed wire barriers under the supervision of a police helicopter.
