According to Russian news agencies, the heads of the two states are holding important negotiations on the sidelines of the international forum.

During the meeting, the leaders of Russia and Turkey plan to discuss a wide range of issues affecting both the international agenda and bilateral relations between the countries.

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov informed journalists in advance about possible topics for negotiations.

"Ukraine will certainly be discussed," he emphasized, particularly noting Ankara's significant role in finding political and diplomatic ways to resolve the conflict.

In addition, the presidential aide expressed confidence that the leaders would exchange views on the situation in the Middle East, the Caucasus, and other strategically important regions.

He also drew attention to the fact that the current meeting will be the first personal talks between Putin and Erdogan this year.
