Pashinyan: The Armenian-American company will only manage the road passing through Zangezur

Armenian-American company will manage, but not control the road through Zangezur

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Armenian media, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan clarified the situation regarding the management of the strategically important road during a meeting with press representatives.

According to the head of government, a business management model is planned to be implemented on this route, which does not imply complete control over the road.

Responding to a question about the possibility of Iranian trucks traveling on the road under American management, Pashinyan cited the example of the current concession model. He recalled that railway infrastructure in other parts of Armenia successfully operates under Russian management based on a concession agreement.

The Prime Minister specifically noted that the railway passes through numerous settlements in Armenia, and neither Georgian nor Iranian vehicles experience any difficulties when crossing this infrastructure.
