Media revealed new details of the security agreement between Syria and Israel

Israel opposes the restoration of the Syrian army and demands restrictions on the deployment of strategic weapons in Syria

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Al Arabiya, Israel's Channel 12 has revealed new details of the upcoming security agreement between Syria and Israel. According to sources, Tel Aviv is categorically opposed to the restoration of the Syrian army with Turkey's support.

The Israeli side also insists on restricting the deployment of strategic weapons on Syrian territory, including missile systems and air defense systems. According to Tel Aviv, such measures are necessary to maintain freedom of action and air superiority of the Israeli air force in the region.

The agreement being developed includes provisions for creating a humanitarian corridor in the Jabal al-Druze area in Suwayda province to provide support to the Druze community. The document also provides for the disarmament of the Syrian Golan Heights and the organization of international assistance in the reconstruction of Syria with the support of the United States and Arab states. These measures are aimed at stabilizing the situation in the region and limiting Iranian influence.

The President of the Syrian Interim Government, Ahmad Al-Sharaa, emphasized the importance of the agreement being based on the disengagement line established in 1974. Meanwhile, the Golan Heights, occupied by Israel since 1967, continue to remain one of the key points of tension in the region.
