Media: Iran is preparing to strike American troops in the near future

The US has received intelligence about Iran preparing to strike American forces in the Middle East. Washington is simultaneously making diplomatic efforts to prevent an escalation of the conflict.

According to Reuters, citing two high-ranking representatives of the American administration, the Iranian attack could occur within the next 24-48 hours.

Relations between the two states reached a critical point after a large-scale military operation conducted by American air and naval forces on the night of June 22. Strikes were carried out on three key facilities of Iran's nuclear program in Natanz, Fordo, and Isfahan. US President Donald Trump explained the necessity of the operation as an effort to eliminate the nuclear threat from a state that he characterized as "the world's leading sponsor of terrorism." The American president also did not rule out the possibility of repeated strikes if Iran refuses peaceful negotiations.

In response to US actions, the Iranian leadership issued a resolute statement, emphasizing that it "reserves all options to protect its sovereignty, interests, and people."
