Foreign Minister of Iran: I no longer know how many opportunities remain for diplomacy

Iranian Foreign Minister: Assessment of damage to nuclear facilities after US strikes not yet completed

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made an official statement regarding the recent US airstrikes on Iranian facilities.

According to the diplomat, the attack on nuclear facilities is a gross violation of international norms: "An attack on a nuclear facility is in any case a violation of international law, regardless of the damage caused, and should be condemned. Yesterday we discussed Israel's attacks and ways to stop them. Diplomatic channels should always remain open. But we have been attacked, and we must respond to this. We will respond to these attacks."

Araghchi also emphasized that dialogue between Tehran and Washington on nuclear issues was ongoing even before the Israeli attack: "They have already crossed many red lines. And the latest, and most dangerous, happened last night. I no longer know how many opportunities remain for diplomacy. We will see how many opportunities remain for diplomacy."
