Dagestani woman miraculously unharmed in iPhone charger explosion

The original iPhone charger exploded in an apartment in Dagestan fifteen minutes after the device was disconnected. The incident was reported by the Telegram channel "Shot Proverka".

The apartment owner miraculously avoided injuries, although she was very close to the scene. The explosion thundered just a meter away from the sleeping girl.

The victim claims that she used exclusively Apple brand accessories — an original power adapter and cable. As a result of the incident, the mattress and bedside table located near the electrical outlet were damaged.

The exact causes of the fire remain a mystery. The upcoming examination should determine whether the cause was a factory defect, device overheating, voltage surges, or some external influence.

There is a possibility that the charger could have been a counterfeit. Fake chargers that are visually indistinguishable from original Apple products are widespread in the market. The key difference of such counterfeits is the absence of special "smart" controllers that prevent dangerous overheating of the device.
