A strong earthquake occurred in Turkey: ten buildings collapsed, there are people under the rubble

Rescuers pulled four people from under the rubble after a devastating earthquake in western Turkey

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Turkish media, the natural disaster in Balıkesir province led to the collapse of ten buildings.

"Ten buildings have been destroyed in our region. Six people were living in the collapsed structures. We have already rescued four of them, and we continue to work on rescuing the remaining two," said the head of Sındırgı municipality, Serkan Sak.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a statement on his social media page regarding the earthquake in Balıkesir. He emphasized that all relevant departments have been mobilized and are taking necessary measures to deal with the consequences of the natural disaster.

According to the country's health minister, four people injured in the earthquake in Balıkesir province have been hospitalized, but there is no threat to their lives.
