Tight socks and clothing can seriously threaten health: expert warns about risks of blood circulation disorders and digestive problems
This was warned by Artyshchev Vyacheslav Petrovich, assistant professor at the Department of Morphology at the Institute of Anatomy and Morphology of Pirogov University, reports TUT.AZ with reference to "Gazeta.Ru".
According to the medical expert, when choosing a wardrobe, it is necessary to carefully listen to your body and note any discomfort or excessive pressure.
Artyshchev emphasized that overly tight socks combined with tight shoes significantly increase the likelihood of blood circulation disorders in the lower extremities. The first signals of such problems can be numbness, unpleasant tingling, or a feeling of cold in the legs. The specialist paid special attention to the proper selection of trousers.
The medical professional explained that tight-fitting trousers or jeans with a rigid waistband create unwanted pressure on the abdominal area, which negatively affects the functioning of the digestive system.
The doctor also emphasized that overly tight underwear, which squeezes the hip or waist area, can cause serious blood flow disturbances and provoke swelling regardless of gender. Women need to be especially careful when choosing a bra.
"An overly tight bra not only causes skin irritation and compresses blood vessels, but also leads to overstrain of the back muscles and reduced mobility," noted the specialist.
